INLA Reading for Royal Statistical Society

The second main paper of the r-inla.org project (like the first one) is now accepted for reading for the Royal Statistical Society in London, the 16th March 2011.

Data and R-code for the Leukemia example is found here.

The announcement for the meeting is found here, which includes a link to the paper. The paper is open for discussion (please feel free to contribute!), and we quote from the annoucement page:

Discussion at Ordinary Meetings

Contributions to the discussion at Ordinary Meetings are welcome, whether in person at the meeting or subsequently in writing. If you would like to speak at a meeting, please contact Abdel Khairoun at journal@rss.org.uk. Contributions must not exceed 5 minutes' speaking time and 400 words for publication in the journal (excluding details of any references quoted). In either case, written versions should be sent to the Executive Editor at the Royal Statistical Society, 12 Errol Street, London, EC1Y 8LX, UK, or by e-mail as PostScript or PDF file attachments to journal@rss.org.uk to arrive no later than 2 weeks after the meeting. If time allows, contributions that are received before the day of the meeting may be read out by the Secretary for the meeting on behalf of anyone who cannot attend.

Comentário rápido. Eu já achava o primeiro artigo que foi lido na Royal Statistical Society impressionante. Esse segundo é fantástico, embora seja tecnicamente bem pesado.
