Second International Workshop in Financial Econometrics, Salvador,October 11-13, 2015

The SECOND INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP IN FINANCIAL ECONOMETRICS will be held in Salvador, Brazil, on October 11-13 of 2015 at the Pestana Convento do Carmo Hotel (http://www.pestana.com/en/hotel/pestana-convento-do-carmo). The  workshop will consist of invited talks (with discussion) and  poster session with contributed and invited papers. Each talk will last 40 minutes plus 20 minutes of discussion and questions. The confirmed keynote speakers  are Torben Andersen (Northwestern University), Peter R. Hansen (European Institute), Niels Haldrup (Aarhus University), Nikolaus Hautsch (University of Vienna), Marcelo J. Moreira (FGV-RJ), Bradley Paye (University of Georgia), Anders Rahbek (University of Copenhagen), Kevin Sheppard (University of Oxford), George Tauchen (Duke Univeristy), Timo Teräsvirta (Aarhus University), Viktor Todorov (Northwestern University) and Fabio Trojani (University of Lugano).

The poster session will be an important part of the conference and the idea is that poster presenters will benefit from the discussion with the other participants of the workshop as well as with the invited speakers.

The program committee invites submissions of papers to be presented as a poster and welcomes and encourages contributions by young scholars and graduate students.

Prospective contributors are invited to submit their papers by Monday, August 31, 2015 to Marcelo C. Medeiros (mcm@econ.puc-rio.br). Please provide complete contact details in your submission. This includes affiliation, position, email addresses, and websites of authors and presenters. Notification of acceptance will be send no latter than Tuesday, September 15. The deadline for registration is Wednesday, September 30, 2015. There is no submission fee. The is no registration fee for students, academics or presenters. Professionals that do not have a paper in the program are subject to a registration fee of R$1.000,00 (one thousand reais). Special rates have been negotiated
with the hotel (R$ 410,00 per night), such that participants willing  to stay at the Convento do Camo must clearly mention this in the submission email such that we can book the room. However, payment arrangements should be made directly with the hotel.
